Farmanity Project – New Sanctuary in AZ

Today on Mother’s Day, Kathy McCarthy and I decided to take a road trip to visit a new sanctuary in Arizona.  We brought two large size dog igloos that were donated to us as sanctuary warming presents.  This trip was to see if Louisa’s New Leash On Life Rescue and Farmanity Project could work together to help save animals (not just dogs but other animals).  On our end, we wanted to make sure that their sanctuary would be able to sustain animals we brought there – we would not only be bringing Chico and Lady, we were also scoping out the place for some piggies @ Nevada SPCA.   Our questions were answered with a resounding “Yes”!

Farmanity has about 15 acres of land for the animals, Mary and Harley are absolutely wonderful people, and the animals they do have there look amazingly well taken care of.

The immediate plan is they’ll be picking up the two dog runs we have early this week and hopefully TAF will allow us to pull Chico and Lady and we will take another trip to their sanctuary with Chico and Lady and they’ll finally be “free” again.

Some videos I got of their sanctuary on YouTube below.  Farmanity will be at our adoption event this coming weekend at Dog Supplies Outlet in Summerlin, Saturday from 12pm-3pm.  Please stop by and say hi to this amazing couple!  They’re living the dream 🙂
